"UNIQUE COTTAGES” - PATERNOSTER

I was asked to help my clients with putting together a scheme – the look they were trying to achieve being similar to the finishing at Unique Cottages, Paternoster. Floors throughout were to be grey matt Grano and they wanted to achieve a feeling of light & a space with white-pale grey-blue palette. In the guest bedrooms they already had beds and headboards with white distressed painted wood and for one of the guest bedrooms, they had an antique French cupboard and dressing table that they wanted to use. I was happy to be involved in the sourcing of the interiors, as I too am a huge fan of mixing antiques with contemporary furniture and accessories. I received photos of their bedside lamps and the request for natural floor coverings, and I knew that the result would be super stylish! Existing furniture was to be hand painted to match the colour scheme and convey a feeling of relaxed living. The courtyard was going to be their main living area and the legs and base of their stunning 10 seater teak table would also be the painted and rattan chairs were added to the list of “must-haves”.
